Meet Kapaas By Nikita that isn’t just a well-stocked ethnic wear store but also has a team of tailors who can sew the sharpest shirts.

Diwali’s round the corner and sometimes, our modest masterji down the road just doesn’t make the cut when we got the more sassy backless cholis on our minds. This was the exact reason the search began in the first place and then, we stumbled upon Kapaas. A place that does everything under the sun.

Saris, lehengas, suits {stitched or otherwise}, fabrics, tunics, flowy dresses, gowns, skirts, pants or just about anything that falls under wearable fashion, can be found here. The variety here is also one of the best this side of town too. Right from casual maxi dresses to traditional saris {see the funky blouse? We want that}, the brand’s got a lot of Indian formals and a section of everyday casuals and if you’ve done a bit of shop hopping, you’ll instantly see a hint of Anokhi and a bit of Devnaagri in the designs.

If you ask us, we’re totally stoked to find someone doing pastels and palazzos in subtle hues. Nikita tells us that they specialise in finishing and handwork. So, rest assured that the hems will be perfect and the embroidery will be stunning. Oh, and the emphasis on quality, is rather impressive. Their hand-blocked cottons are also known to fly off the shelves.
